Thank you for being part of this year’s Knoxville Book Festival. We appreciate the time, expense, and preparation that goes into exhibiting, and your feedback helps us improve the event each year.

We want to be upfront that attendance was down compared to last year, by roughly 500 attendees. While that is not what we wanted to see, it appears to have been largely impacted by circumstances outside the festival itself.

This year’s festival took place the same day as the Luke Combs concert at Neyland Stadium, which brought more than 90,000 people into Knoxville. As a result, parking was extremely limited, traffic was heavier than normal, and many available parking spaces were $40 or more. We believe this had a direct impact on attendance and walk-up traffic.

On the positive side, one of last year’s biggest concerns was event hours, and we made changes this year to address that. We did not receive major complaints about hours this year, which was encouraging, but we still want to hear directly from you about your overall experience.
